Serious volleyball players participate in several tryouts each season. Doing your best at the tryout can be the difference on being on the team or being on your way home.

Are there any other clubs? Which club should I tryout for?

Yes. A complete listing of clubs can be viewed in here.

We recommend that athletes attend the first club tryout for the club they want to play for AND if they get an offer from their first choice club, they should accept it.

We highly suggest that athletes/parents investigate all the clubs in our area and make the best choice.  Evaluate your commitment level , financial requirements, experience/expectations and make a "best value" based decision.

When are offers made?

Offers to athletes can be made anytime.  However, athletes can formally accept a position with a club on or after the "Signing Dates"

  • November 25 (12U, 13U and 14U)
  • December 02 (15U)
  • December 09 (16U, 17U and 18U)

Note:  Offer expires at 6:00 pm on the Signing Date.

We will be sending the *Club Offer Form via email to allow for a time stamp. Offers will not be handed out on the spot in the gym.

*Club Offer Form is the binding agreement between the athlete and Phoenix Volleyball Club for the current season. If the athlete wishes to accept the offer, he/she and their parent/guardian MUST sign the club offer form and send it back via email. Returning a signed club offer form is considered an official commitment to Phoenix Volleyball Club. Phoenix Volleyball Club will then proceed with registration and fee collection.

Note:  Participation in additional tryouts after a form has been signed is not permitted. Athletes who accept offers from multiple clubs will be found in violation of the Volleyball BC's tryout and training policy.

Athletes are free to tryout for any team until they have officially signed with a club.  An athlete is committed to a club for one (1) season (from signing date through May 31st).

Verbal commitments made at any time are non-binding. Signing the Club Offer Form is the ONLY commitment recognized.
